engines at SR Technics’ facilities for teardown and green time leasing. The

Boca Raton, FL, February 17, 2016 – VAS Aero Services, a global leader in aviation logistics and aftermarket services, announced an exclusive agreement with HOP!-BRITAIR, part of HOP!, an Air France subsidiary, under which VAS’ parent company will acquire two Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft and GE engines being retired from the airline’s fleet for disassembly and resale. The agreement includes the Bombardier aircraft (serial numbers 10006 and 10007), as well as four GE CF34-8E engines.
“VAS has become the teardown partner of choice for many of the world’s leading airlines and investment partners,” said Tommy Hughes, VAS Aero Services CEO. “As these partners replace aging aircraft, VAS provides vital disassembly, parts harvesting and certification, and global marketing and distribution services, allowing our customers to realize revenue from serviceable used and surplus parts as they modernize their fleets.”
VAS has relocated the aircraft to its European aircraft teardown partner, Tarmac Aerosave, in Tarbes, France. The GE engines will be redeployed within VAS’s extensive maintenance partner network, Hughes noted.
